Structural Analysis Engineer - Nuclear
Job Description
ALTEN UK is supporting major programmes within the defence and infrastructure sectors and is looking for a Structural Analysis Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team working on complex building and structural design projects.
This role will involve contributing to the detailed design and assessment of safety-critical structures, supporting highly regulated engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the detailed structural design of buildings within a multidisciplinary engineering team
Prepare engineering calculation notes and technical substantiation documents
Analyse and review technical documentation, drawings and engineering specifications
Develop and assess finite element models using ANSYS APDL
Perform soil–structure interaction assessments and seismic calculations
Carry out reinforced concrete checks in accordance with relevant standards and codes
Support structural integrity and safety assessments for complex infrastructure projects
Collaborate with civil, structural and geotechnical engineering teams
