Prospero Teaching are working with a range of mainstream and SEN schools across Southampton who are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students with a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN). These roles involve supporting pupils both in class and on a 1:1 basis, helping them access learning and develop confidence.
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who:
- Have a calm, patient, and compassionate approach
- Can build positive and trusting relationships with students
- Are proactive, adaptable, and resilient
- Are confident supporting children with additional needs in structured settings
- Recognise and celebrate small achievements in student progress
Contract details:
- Location - Southampton, Hampshire
- Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
- Start date - ASAP
- Contract type - Long term supply or temp to perm
- Duration - Ongoing
- Full time - Full time role
- Minimum rate of pay - £14.25 per hour
Eligibility:
- Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (GCSE)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A nurturing and consistent approach
- Reliable, committed, and able to use initiative
